FlexySpy Software

7088_large New $150 software called FlexiSPY lets you completely INVADE THE PRIVACY of anyone that has it installed. The software lets you listen in on conversations, read SMS messages and even use the phone's built-in microphone to eavesdrop on people when they're not using the phone. UPDATE: Personal Tech Pipeline is reporting that Finnish security firm F-Secure calls FlexiSPY a Trojan and "a perfect hacker tool." (props to Gizmodo)

Back to the past

Portorotary2

This phone is retro rotary dial in looks only. It operates on the mobile networks run by Cingular Wireless and Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile and lets you transfer data from one phone to another with a SIM card. Not so easy to carry around though :) It was designed by sparkfun alectronics. and it also cames in red, the price is $399 not so cheap as you can see.

Small cell phone

Road_funphone More colorful than the average cell phone, the Firefly is aimed at a huge developing market: children.

It’s so kid-centric it even comes with a backpack clip.

The friendly face features five keys, one for mommy, one for daddy, one to scroll through a list of programmed phone numbers by the parents, one to make calls, and one to hang up  but no keypad for entering new, unsupervised numbers.

Cell phone projector

Cellphone_projector
This prototype cell phone developed by Siemes produces a small laser-projected display. The company intends (and hope) to create a full color display within five years, I can't wait.

Origami Cell?

Origami_cellphone
Inventables, a product design studio, have developed the "Origami Cell Phone", a concept phone design inspired by e-paper developed by Mag-Ink, and the Popout Map. The concept is designed to squeeze more screen space from existing form factor sizes.

Not so sure of the technical feasibility of this concept to me it looks more like a very bad Photoshopped effort rather than a serious concept phone but you are entitled to have you own opinion.

Sanyo (the VC-2000)

Sanyophones
Mobile web-enabled devices were the hottest area for most of the manufacturers at COMDEX 2000. This functional unit from Sanyo (the VC-2000) sports a reflective colour LCD screen about the size of a credit card. The phone can be collapsed to protect the screen, and a built-in CMOS camera enables pictures to be transmitted by the user. Reflective LCD screens use the ambient light to illuminate the display. I want to see the price...

0% calories

Samsugultraedition_1 Samsung has put the cell phones on a strict diet *LoL*  The Ultra Edition (Europe)/Platinum Card Phone (Korea) has been released.
At 6.9 mm this is one of the slimmest handsets on the market. It could even fit in your wallet. Still, it comes with a 2-megapixel camera and Bluetooth for connecting to other devices-all that, at 91.5 grams. A true wonder :D
